Antique philosophers often turned to nature as a mirror for contemplation. The “grass mirror” revisits this spirit of contemplation in a new, contemporary and complex way. Nature overflows, it is reflected everywhere…the image of one’s self is fragmented. Frontiers between nature and culture are blurred.
It is the twisting of a rectangle (geometric deformation) which allows nature to appear: the plants grow in the gaps left by the twisting process. The basic figure can be repeated and multiplied to infinity… Miguel Mazeri – anthropologist
